At Brain Health Consultants, our in depth experience and long standing involvement in research is one of the reasons we are sought out as experts. Research studies that you may be eligible to participate in at our center are found here. We are now enrolling for a depression study to test a new form of TMS.
Depression Study
- Are you less interested in life than you used to be?
- Are you lacking energy and motivation to do things?
- Have you lost weight when you weren’t trying to, or found you are overeating even though your appetite is poor?
- Do you have trouble sleeping?
- Are you always tired?
- Do you have trouble concentrating?
If this sounds like you, you may be depressed.
If you’re between 22 and 65 and you haven’t responded to your current treatment, you may be eligible to participate in a clinical trial.
Call Brain Health Consultants at 713-489-5000 or email JK@BrainHealthConsultants.com to see if you qualify for a trial investigating a non-invasive, outpatient treatment for depression.
People who participate in this study may receive 6 weeks of treatment with this device at no cost.
Intranasal es-ketamine for treatment resistant depression.
This study is no longer accepting new patients, but long-term follow-up is ongoing. The long-term follow-up includes open treatment and extensive safety monitoring for those who are already enrolled. We hope the study data will contribute to eventual FDA approval. Until es-ketamine or another medication with a similar mechanism of action and rapid onset becomes available for routine use, we will continue to offer ketamine treatment in our office to carefully screened patients who have not responded to standard treatment. The ketamine treatment we can offer now is not part of a research study, but part of our advanced clinical care program and is provided on a fee for service basis.
